Been looking at mapping my Cupra what mods are needed for stage 2 and what kind of readings would I look to see?

Just on the side what are the standard rods rated too bhp wise?

As above then the needed mods are

Stage1
Nothing

Stage2
Downpipe + Sports cat or De-cat

Stage2+
HPFP

Car would benefit from the following though:
Intake
RS4 valve
New sparks plugs

Obviously brake and handling mods are just as important

Thought Stage 2+ you HAD to have the S3/Aftermarket IC?

it will help but its not NEEDED

I've got the following on my Stage2+
Neuspeed intake
REVO PCV Delete
RS4 Valve
APR HPFP
APR Stage2+ mapping
3" 100cel downpipe
uprated plugs (cant remember their name)

and will soon be adding
APR RFD kit
LPFP upgrade
REVO intake to replace neuspeed

The LCR comes with a new S3 intercooler so i havent bothered upgrading but might at some point probably to Eurojet or APR

Also alot of handling mods, are all of these NEEDED? no but every little helps

Why are you doing the the LPFP on APR code mate? They don't even need that for Stage 3 now.

What's this RS4 valve people keep talking about? Is that essential for Stg2+ as well?

I've heard of a few cars with Stage 2+ running with stock FMIC. Although I do know they poop themselves with clutches quite quickly.

The RS4 valve has been discussed loads of times in detail mate, but essentially it keeps fuel pressure from dropping below what is requested (on some maps). It was used to fix the flat spot in the old REVO code. GIAC still recommend it. Not sure about APR until Stage 3.

Loads of cars run stock coolers. Doesn't mean its optimal. I just did the S3 cooler on my old Stage 2+ Cupra and that made a big difference. I imagine something like the THS cooler will be even better.

AKS Alex has it installed on his Hybrid K04 Octavia VRS with Revo mapping said it was a good bit of kit, Wee G is supposed to be adding it to his Stage2+ APR car aswell.

Originally i was told that it was a waste of time for anything under Stage3 but it appears it works well with Stage2+ aswell

would it need a APR map tweak with this or is it just a bolt on,off you go?
