Stage 2 remap dp & decat or standard

Just wondered your thoughts on this
As I thought stage 2 was dp and sports cat or decat

It's just I read on another forum some has gone stage 2 (custom code) with standard cat and down pipe in

To make the most of it surely get it done before your map. Otherwise if you change it in the future (which you should!) you'll have to get it mapped again!

The DP is the most restrictive part of the exhaust, running it with standard DP and cat is more like stage 1.5 IMO.

egts will be through the roof. you need a decat and standard dp as a min. the manifold is the most restrictive part. for the biggest gains go for 3"dp with decat and relentless manifold

It was on another forum the guy put that he is now stage 2
So I said have you got 3" dp and decat yet then

His reply was
It really doesn't need the downpipe to be honest.

I'm a custom code agent so can remap I have checked everything on the car and it's fine. No need to push it as its fast enough.

Is there such a thing as a generic stage 2 map? Or are they all custom maps tweaked to make the most of stage 2 mods?
Maybe they have a custom map and calling it stage 2 because its not generic.

The DP and cat are restrictive so his map will only make the power that restriction allows regardless of who and how it was mapped.

It doesn't need it, you'd need a decat as a minimum as Sam said.. BUT it definitely yields impressive gain if you do have one fitted, the standard DP really holds the car back.

If matey isnt really bothered about figures and "its really doesnt need it" he may as well left it at stage 1 IMO.

It all depend whether you want a full fat stage 2 map, i know Revo state on their website that a DP is a minimum requirement for stage 2.

I'm assuming as you were talking to CC you were looking for them to do the stage 2 map?

Are you planning to get a DP and decat/sports cat at later date?

Revo give some flexibility in the settings via the SPS 3 controller, might be worth looking into.

No mate I don't want them to do mine he was just on a forum saying he has a Lcr that's now stage 2 ect
I have a jabba stage 1 at the moment but might go revo stage 2 as its same price as me upgrading with jabba

Okay im with you now... I'll be getting a stage 2 Revo when the time comes. £125 at AmD with RR session.
