Standard Airbox assembly

Hi, I'm after an Airbox assembly for my LC.

I need all components to swap a Piper Viper air-filter system for the standard setup.

Anyone know how much this is new from Seat??

Sorry, should have said, it's not actually my car. It's a friend of mine on here 'Chris Lee' but he's at work now.

I wouldn't have bought the car in the 1st place.

Basically in May he bought a Leon Cupra from Motorplus, they told him it had some mods but they didn't know what, maybe a chip. They also said it was putting out about 220 bhp but this was a total guestimate on their part. Chris went for a test drive and liked the power and also the sound that the Viper made. So, He bought it.

He has been having problems (I posted it on here) with the car. After booting it for a while the Traction Control warning light comes on and stays on. Resulting in a massive loss of power (seems like the Turbo is not kicking in).

It has been back to Motorplus many times and they say they have checked everything that was suggested by users on here... the MAF sensor, over-oiled Air-filter. They ended up putting an Airbox from a Golf GTi on it and it solved the problem. (but it has also obviously, changed the sound and power of the car). They say that You cannot put a high-flow filter on a Cupra because you will always get this problem.

So Chris wasn't happy with the loss of power and different sound so he had them put the Viper back on. So the problem was back.

It has since spent 3 days at Derby Turbo Centre where they assured Chris that they would be able to fix it... They couldn't! The Manager said that there was lot's of wires in the engine bay that shouldn't be there and he didn't know what they were for. He said he could have it all out and see what they did do but it would cost a fortune!

So, Chris has decided he's had enough. He is wanting to put the standard Air-box on to make the car sellable. And he's gonna buy a Cupra R instead.

Yeah I asked not so long ago and the box itself was about £55. No filter included and no standard plastic intake pipe. They were extra.

PS I got a second hand one from ebay for £17.50 delivered :).

I got one off ebay for smoothing. It didn't include the feed pipe though.

Cost £11 including delivery.
