I have issues with my Ibiza '97 starting. Just had it serviced but seems to take forever and a day to turnover and start. I have to repeatedly press the throttle for it to start.

Doesnt seem to make a difference on the weather, though it may of been plugs but have just had it serviced. Enigne runs fine once going and idle is just under 1000. Car seems to stall when it appears to be overloaded, ie steering on full lock, or fan on max..

Has anyone had the same problem? any ideas to what it could be.. :help::help:

Check your leads and dizzy cap. Sounds like theres no spark. Take the dizzy cap and clean the connector points, see if that makes a difference. Also give the throttle body a clean. See it they sort it out.

It seems to be slighty better once warm, but not by much. The throttle body has been throughly cleaned twice, improved the running.

I will have to check the Dist cap although I believe this was replaced in the service two weeks ago. Someone suggested a sensor on the throttle body? any one know if this can be fixed replaced?

Thanks
