Hey,

I was hoping someone can help

I have an Seat Ibiza 1.2 eco which seems to be causing me problems.

It is not starting well, and runs roughly for a while, but seems to improve after being driving for a while.

I plugged in a ODB II reader and it came up with P0321 ($07e8) as the error code.

It said ignition/distributor engine speed input circuit/performance, but I think that is a generic description.

I have had a new camshaft sensor put in but the issue seems to have got worse recently/

It comes with up with start/stop error on first start sometimes and the glow plug light can come on. but that does not leave a diagnostic code. This usually clears if you restart the car.

Thanks for any information on this.

no one replied, but if you are interested, the cambelt sensor was the problem. They are replacing the cambelt again. Sensors are costing me quite a lot of money on this car - more than any actually mechanical issues.

The symptoms seem to match the garage diagnosis, so hopefully for a positive outcome.

well it didn't turn out as expected. Got the car back, but it is still running badly. Engine light on, glow plug flashing on. They fixed something that didn't need to be fixed and charged me.

The new error codes are P0322 and a pending code of P0263

P0322
Ignition / Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit No signal

P0263
cylinder 1 contribution / balance

not particularly happy.

So, lets get this right:- your car had become faulty > you handed it into a proper garage to get them to fix it > they think that they have fixed it and you pay them > you drive away and that car is still not fixed - is all that correct? So, what does your proper garage think about that, don't they still have some work to do to fix it?
