Just a quick question. Does anyone else have the same problem I do. When it rains, my windows really steam up bad, even with my fans on full blast. Also, in the cold weather, the ice, is does too, & I can barely see where I'm going.

try opening your front windows a tiny tiny tiny bit, like a 1mm gap

Aye thats a good trick to use mate....

If that car is steaming up really really bad on the inside then there must be water inside the car! i.e a smal rusty whole letting water inside the car or a foobard window seal!

If its just a lil bit of steam before the engine gets warm to clear the screen open the window and dont breathe for a bit

its all because of the magic,

i also dont breath in mine either,, soon passes

give the glass inside and out a damn good clean

clean smooth glass won't let water stick to and hence no condensation :):)

if you have a high content of damp inside the car (leak) it will be worse mind

beat me to it, keep the glass clean moisture sticks to dirt. i came out of work today and nearly everyone had to scrape the ice off their screen, but mines wasnt too bad some screenwash and wipers later i was good to go.

im wondering if Rain-x stops ice forming as easily??? i mean it is alcohol based by the smell of it.

if you're brave you'll lift the carpets & see how wet they are underneath. bet there's a leak or a bung out somewhere if you get steamed up all the while.
don't think Rain-X helps that much, if it's icy, it's icy and you still need to scrape

a lot of water comes down the scuttle and rests under the passenger footwell

common problem, and the worst to trace

mines steams up from time to time also

I have a hole in the plastic tray under the scuttle panel, so the water runs down the windscreen, in the hole, straight into the air intake box, & drips out where the heater resistor plugs in, right onto the passenger footwell!
