Hi guys, posting from my phone so hope this looks ok.

Recently had to disconnect my battery, as expected the steering assist light came on when battery was reconnected. took nearly 60miles before it went off, (hard work driving with that on).

Ok so since it has gone off I have a massive pull to the nearside, wasn't there before battery was off. I have just come back from my local tyre shop who did a 4 wheel check on a hunter system, all 4 wheels were fine, all pointing in the right direction. They did give a print out which shows the details. Will put that up when I get home.

The guy told me it would now be a trip to seat to get it checked, had the usual thing said to me, they will have to put it on their computers to check it, he spoke about steering angle setup.

Is there anything my mate can check on his vagcom, or is it a trip to the stealers, any help would be grrrrreat,

Thx for ur time

Cheers Bruce I drive a 2007 Seat Altea XL
Do you think the steering angle would cause it to pull then???

Looking at the site I have found this page

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Seat_Altea_(5P)

i then click on the 44 steering assist > Adaption

it then takes me to

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(1K)_Steering_Assist#Adaptation
(which is for the Golf 1K, guess it's the same procedure as the Altea)

I will take it to my local garage and see if they can help me out with these instruction

Thanks mate you are indeed a star

Have a good weekend
