Steering wheel audio controls

Recently changed my HU to an older 2008 manuf RNS 510. My Car is a 2010 FL mk2 Leon fr with audio controls on steering and mfd display The music on mfd display has now gone since fitting the new HU and the steering wheel controls no longer work audio. Is this something a VAGCom, obdeleven or carista can fix?

Using vcds I switched navigation on through canbus gateway and then switched bap on in the radio module. I now have an audio and navigation screen in mfd but nothing in them. Also steering controls still don't work with this unit.
