Hi guys

I just swapped my stock steering wheel in my Leon Cupra 2008 to a newer Leon Cupra R 2011 model. No problem.

BUT... My multi function buttons doesnt work...
VCDS says: 01426 controls in steering wheel (E221), 004 No signal

Any suggestions? Do i need to change some wiring?

Cheers

You need the steering wheel control module from a facelift car, which may need coding once installed depending on the configuration of the model it came off. From reading a couple of threads on here on the subject it seems to be the CH revision that's recommended.

On early pre-facelift cars a newer canbus controller is also required but I think you may be okay with that on a 2008 car.

Thanks for reply.

Okay. So i will be needing this part?
1K0-953-549-CH

I have this installed now in the car. 1K0-953-549-AQ

It is a highline module, but only supports LIN 1.3. Is that causing the problem since the new wheel requires LIN 2.0..?

Will my cruise control work after changing module or will i be needing a new as well?

Cheers.
