Recently noticed that every so often my drivers door exterior handle will now stick in the "out" (open door) position and if you are a plonker like me, you don't notice until you try to shut the door from inside only to have the flipping thing bounce back open! lol
If you nudge the handle it will flip back to the closed position without problem and the door will lock normaly.
Anyone else had this?
I know it's probably just a case of squirting some aerosol lube into the mechanism from outside but I can't be bothered to take it back for the dealer to do this if it'll only take me 5mins for a DIY job!
OK the question is what lube would I use? The "old faithful" WD40 I would prefer not to use as it flipping stinks! Don't want the inside of my car smelling like a workshop!
Some form of silicone spray lubricant maybe?
It's a very minor issue but I'd like to get it fixed...
