Sticky, klunky clutch cable

Hi there,

So I recently passed my test and got myself a 2005 Leon cupra TDI 150bhp, I'm kind of confused what model as I've been told it's a special one a short it's got a big standard front mounted intercooler.
Car feels great but last night me and a few pals went for a cruise and on the way home the clutch started to slip.
I brought the car off a polish bloke that said he done the clutch himself.
The clutch feels low, like I'm riding my leg on it all the time and sometimes i can feel like a clicking.

Going to bleed the clutch hydrolocs see if that helps

Any other advice???
