Hi,

I have recently noticed by gearbox/gear changes become stiff/sticky now and again. It does not happen all the time though. It is fine when the engine is off but i was driving to wales over the weekend and it become pretty stiff during changes and at times was a pain to get in.

Today when driving back it was fine though.

Car has 27k on it and is 5 years old.

From what I understand, it's normal. Especially in 1st gear.

I'm having trouble with mine too but my specialist is telling me its the Slave cylinder which means it's inside the gearbox... thankfully he said my clutch/gearbox is fine (after driving my car but who knows until it's out....)

probably stiff because nobody has used it!!

If that was the case which i doubt, then why would it become stiff all of a sudden on a 200 mile trip

He lives in Egypt ha.

Realised that once i posted it lol

Im gonna have to get it serviced as thats due and then get it seen too, along with trying to get someone with vag com check for any faults.

Does anyone know what Seat charge to stick it on the computer?
