Checked the -‘ve post and there is a cable clipped into the module, no signs of anything missing.Possibly, but also if the battery is in poor health that will be the way things are.
One thing to check, look under the bonnet at the earth, ie -VE post of the battery, there will be a "module/dongle" bolted to that post and is part of the -VE or earth lead, if you look closely, you should find a cable form plugged into that "module/dongle" - if that cable has been taken out or left out, that will stop auto Stop/Start "happening", so if it is unplugged, plug it back in and then press in to lock the small tab on the connector.
I'd be a bit annoyed if or when I buy a used car and someone has checked some of the coding!
It can be disabled by VCDS or Carista on my 2019 19 plate 2.0TDI DSG Leon STChecked the -‘ve post and there is a cable clipped into the module, no signs of anything missing.
Connected Carista and it doesn’t show anything for stop-start but then a google showed that 2019-2020 cars can’t have stop-start turned off by Carista.
going to revive my old VCDS laptop and see if that shows anything.
Not a big issue as I usually turn it off manually anyway but just wondering why it isn’t kicking in like it has in my previous Leon’s.
Possibly different between petrol and diesel or perhaps just later 19 cars?It can be disabled by VCDS or Carista on my 2019 19 plate 2.0TDI DSG Leon ST
Mines October 2019, can't see a difference between petrol and diesel as far as coding goes, you're only changing the trigger voltagePossibly different between petrol and diesel or perhaps just later 19 cars?
