Strange Engine Idle

Hey Guys

I have a 1.9tdi 100 sport Ibiza 56 plate and today when i started her up she decided she wanted to idle at about 1100 -1200RPM instead of her usual 900RPM.

A little reving on the throttle and a second later she went back to 900RPM

I have done many small trips today and when starting her up she only did this 2 or 3 times.

Anybody got any ideas on why and how to recover the problem?

She needs a blast on the motorway for a bit to clear out the cobwebs.

so i dont need to worry about any throttle linkages or anything to do with temperature sensors?

I think your probably right as i have not done long journeys in her for a while, as im trying to save on the mileage, can you believe 114000 in just over 2 years!!
