Strange noice from engine

My engines not soundin to healthy at the moment. There is a strange sort of rubbin/grindin noise coming from it. Quick look this mornin before Uni and i dont think its the alternator. Going to have look when get home and check the timing belt, fan belt and alternator again. Pretty sure its nothing to do with the tappets or that as there is plenty oil in it and doesnt seem to be from the block itself.

Anybody got another suggestions what to check?

Turns out was the water pump that was knackered

Aye that will be me, reg is J**MYB (proper reg is an R plate). Saw you one time up in glasgow on the bridge kext to the river boat casino. U put the idea into my head bout geting my wheels done in black but unfortunately ive not got round to it lol

Turns out was the water pump that was knackered

although dearer the full replacement pump with housing is not only easier to fit but saves you going back for it 2nd time after breaking the bolts off anyway

and you can do the thermostat/seal at the same time
