strange noise

Hi, can anyone help, my 225 LCR makes a chattering noise between 1500 - 2500 rpm under load, it doesnt always do it but is now doing it more and more. The performance is good and it pulls well so im very confused! It also stutters and is very hesitaint for 2 mins when cold, my local seat garage cant help and im getting frustrated!!

Might be your turbo gasket has gone (or is going). The Leon Cupra I used to own suddenly developed a chatter under boost i.e. when the turbo came on, though I didn't lose any performance. After taking it to the dealers and showing them the problem I had to have the turbo replaced.

had a feeling that might be the case, no wonder the dealers didnt want to fix the problem!

Check you dump valve! It not opening correctly and causing the pressure to return back cause it to chatter.
Check hoses for leaks

how do i check that the dump valve is opening correctly, will it be very stuttery when stone cold?

Recommned you upgrade your standard dv. Eg forge 007P DV.
