strange noise

When my Leon tdi has been parked up for a day or 2 and i start off in reverse there is a grinding noise just as the car starts to move . Lasts only a second and car drives perfectly well thereon - Anyone got any idea what it is ?

I had a grinding noise on my LEON, took it back to SEAT DEALER, they said it does make a noise in reverse gear. 2 months the noise was that bad i would park where i did not have to reverse. took it back to dealer. had a new gearbox 27,000 miles on the clock. car was under warranty.

It's just the build up of corrosion between the brake pad and disc breaking when you set off moving. Nothing to worry about IMO.

No problem! Mine does it too, it drove me so mad that in the end I got the missus to set off in reverse while I was on my hands and knees looking at the back wheels...
