This maybe similar to another thread going on at the moment but just in case its not i will ask here, basically it is an intermitant problem, every now and again especially in 2nd just as my car approaches 2000rpm its like it hits a brick wall it only does it when coming up to 2000rpm fairly slowly. Its like the power is cut for a split second

any ideas?

i got same problem similer yesterday night, when i floor it 2nd or third. the rev get stuck at 5rpm and does not budge for a few seconds. then it keeps on goin den.
is your dump valve forge that has 360 swivel vacum line?

I have the Answer!

Yea me too! but the answer is really simple, it's just dirt in the throttle body. It was cleaned and re-set and has been as right as rain ever since.

Garage had heard of the problem so it looks like the Leon is susceptible to this one.

I'm a Babe Not a Mechanic!

Big Lad,

Sorry I didn't answer your last but one. Anyway I couldn't help you (see title!) anyway - I paid SEAT £80 incl VAT to get it fixed - so it couldn't have been too difficult. Once done I never noticed the slightest hesitation again. So if things have only 'improved' as you put it rather than been fully fixed you might want to look again. Anyway glad i could help.
