Anyone else selling their LCR at the moment and struggling a little? I've had mine up for sale for a bit over a week and had very little interest, you think this is maybe cause it's a 'modified' car with the REVO? I honestly think £11,995 is really cheap for a 2005 '05 LCR with 20k, REVO Stage 1 etc etc... (or am I wrong?)

Thanks :)

Your not the only one to have problems. I can only speak from mine and a few friends point of view but we all agreed we would not want to buy a modified car because it tends to imply the car is more likely to have been thrashed.

Have you thought of selling it as standard? might be easier to sell... but don't take my word for that as it is just my opinion.:)

Yup,

Having exactly the same problem as you. Been on sale here and on various other sites for over a month now. Over 2000 hits on my adverts but only 2 very low offers - without seeing the car:shrug:

I sincerely hope this won't be my over-riding memory of owning a Seat because the LCR is a great car:ban:

Fortunately I can hold on for a bit longer but it's really frustrating:(

Ebay classified just ended with no responses, looks like I'll have to try Autotrader [:@]

hmm, the thing is you are talking about the private sale of a £12,000 car. i dont think there are many people who would be in the market for an lcr that would have that sort of money in ready cash, most would go part ex from a dealer.

the other issue is that alot of people are going on their summer holidays soon and are not thinking about spending money on new cars. i think the best time to sell a car is around march because its long enough after christmas and long enough before the summer.

I know that may be true for some of those wanting to buy a LCR, but I expected to be beating people off with a stick! I'm sure a dealer would have it on the forecoat for £14k, and it's got the balance of the warranty left - so at least 9 months peace of mind....

I'm pretty sure it's value for money!

Well i have been in the market for a LCR for a couple of months and have dropped on a mint 225 04 plate with only 13,600 miles at a cost of £10,600,to be honest didnt realy want to spend 12k plus on a private sale and most the traders cars are far more expensive so i think i have dropped on a bargain here.
I did enquire about this car when i saw it on the type r owners club site but was a little out of my range but still if this was being sold by a dealer it would cost a lot more so i think you price is fair.
You can either drop your price further or if you can hold out as someone will always come along.

when i go for one next year i'll be looking for lcr 225 few years old with average mileage
9-10k price

mate if i was after one i would buy yours, but my time hasn't come yet

Yeah I know, mines got just under a year warranty left... all for £11,995 ;)

Cheers for the replies anyway guys :)

There was a newbie on here earlier wanting a Black LCR with 20k ish on the clock. I did suggest yours as I have looked a couple of times at the ad.

As I told him, I'd love to have it but I just can't justify the money at the mo.

Nice looking, tidy car though Darryl.

Good luck, just sorry I can't take it off your hands! :(

I didn't get any serious interest on mine, apart from nobbers ringing me asking how many mpg do I get, then arguing with my reply.

Found a dealer who thought he'd sell it really quick, and got a fabulous deal on the Beemer I wanted.

Gotta agree here, it's not the fact it's modded, i don't think, it's the fact most people wanting to spend almost 12K will go to a dealer's..

Ebay's a waste of time & money trying to sell an expensive car, cos people want cheap on Ebay, had exactly the same problem trying to sell my 14 month old Fireblade last year, all i got was time wasters.

Better of trying Auto Trader or maybe Piston Heads.

My Pistonheads ad has generates over 1,100 views and that's the one I had the offers on. Can't really understand why people who want a LCR would pay through the nose at a dealer - keeping the cash in their pocket would pay for an extended warranty to cover anything unforseen:shrug:

Ah well, next stop, Autotrader:help:

Might be a long wait for us both Darryl:doh:

im intrested in the seat!!!!!!! i do have a couple of questions tho buddy, like the crunch and rattle???? heres my e-mail [email protected] ive added you on msn to. we can exchange details there and ill call you.

IMO because of part ex option and piece of mind. That was my reason. But keep with it, all it takes is one call and one person to be interested.:)

i bought private and although i love my car and i am 100% sure its a minter i do think i overpaid slightly. bought it in march for £9,900...'03 210 lcr with 35k on the clock and fssh.
