hi i would like to know your opinions on size of alloy wheels and lowering springs to put on a mk4 ibiza 1.4 16v. would like the wheels sitting in the arches but dont know what would work. any help from people with previous experience on this would be much appreciated and if you have any pictures please post them on this thread thanks.

I wouldn't go any larger than 17" wheels as you would need arch work for 18s.

You will never get the wheels to sit in the arches with just lowering springs, you will need coilovers.

what different about coilovers and lowering springs?

Springs will give you a fixed drop only (about 30-40mm) and you normaly fit them with either your origenal shocks or uprated ones, but coilovers replace the whole strutand are hight adjustable down to something like 80-100mm.

As Damoegan sais no need for 18" i got them on my ibiza when i got it and i hate them. Getting 16" and coileys ... Its got to be 16" or 17"..:p
