Sub 8 brake issues

I'm wondering if anyone has any information as to what is the actual fault with the sub 8 pack brakes? I've now done 20k miles on the car from new and am now on the 2nd set of discs and pads and they have now warped again! I don't know whether to fit the standard cupra brakes with tarox discs. Or to buy the sub 8 370mm 2 piece tatox discs as I'm told the reason the discs warp is because there floating discs and there not suitable for long term road use? But I've also been told by a vw specialist that it's an issue with the calipers and that no matter what discs i fit they will still warp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I don't know what's the best solution and I'm already £1000 out of pocket!

Have a look at that thread.

As for floating discs not being suitable for long term road use that's a load of bollox . The problem is the discs are not asymmetric so the cooling vanes face the wrong direction on 1 side .

I ran an Alcon 6pot 365mm fully floating kit on my Astra VXR for over 40k miles with no issues other than a bit of low speed squeal when cold

Get your discs skimmed (make sure its done on vehicle) or if you decide you want standard cupra setup let me know and we can arrange a swap plus some beer tokens for you :D

I posted the original message that Count Drunkula refers to. My car is driven very hard - in fact it probably does more miles on track than off! And I love the stopping power - I can generally brake significantly later into corners than others can. But they have not warped, that was checked. The dealer stripped them, cleaned and re-assembled (for no charge) and so far the noise has not come back - but then I'm doing very low mileage.......

Unfortunately the brakes are not warped. I got my 4th set of pads and 3rd set of discs fitted last week free under warranty, as soon as I took my car out of the dealers it started making the noise. The noise is not just when the car is rolling in a straight line, it also makes the noise when the car is stationary and you move the steering wheel lock to lock. I will upload a video to YouTube and post the link here to show the noise. I'm starting to think it may also be suspension related as new pads , new discs don't seem to make any difference. I am currently speaking to Seat UK but I'm not sure they know how to resolve the issue.
