Sudden Drop In MPG

Been driving same route for last 4 weeks started with trip comp saying avg38mpg(slow?yes but early morning no-one can see me)put 2 new front tires on 3weeks ago mpg seemed to drop to 32mpg replaced rear tires last week now getting 25mpg so decided to put on scan tool and found a code 17545 (so nothing to do with tires just showing the drop over last few weeks)did search via RossTech for faults,have changes MAF within last 5 months and lamda sensor in last 4 months car seems to run fine no flat spots,no holding back and no EML any advice where i should look next.

the trip comp is a bit hti and miss, best way is to work it out by amount of fuel put in in comparison to miles done etc.
anything can change mpg, from something as little to tyre pressures, type of tyres etc....

Thanks Cupra R Ick going to double check pressures again tomorrow and will fill up and record mileage just seems massive drop according to trip comp coupled with the extra code wondering if big problems on the horizon

Well just under half tank gone done 225miles so far,can someone pls confirm tyre pressures as changes stds wheels to 17s 225,45,17 or are printed figures on fuel cap still app

I normally run 31psi

Anything from 30-33 psi all round will be fine mate. Try reset the average mpg as it sometimes trips out. Hope all is okay for ya

cheers guys found 33 pass rear and 52 drivers rear after new tires fitted been running 32 all week so see how i go! trip says still got 125 miles left

right got 330 miles to full tank is this the avg or should i be looking for faults related to new code

It's been quite cold the past week, this will have something to do with it I bet. The car takes much longer to warm up,using more fuel on short journeys
