okaiiii so i'm looking to lower her as i'm tired off feeling like im riding one of them superbike games at the arcadian (if any of you guys no what im on about) an i was just wondering if i shud get coilovers or spring? and how much would thins possibly cost? bearing in mind itz not a cupra itz a 1.4

i have coilovers as i wanted to have my car pretty low then if needed, raise it up to accomodate longer trips + passangers

i paid £310 for some AP coilovers, fitted them myself and then got a full tracking / camber done. in total costs around £370.

Depends how much you want to spend and also how much you'd like to lower it really?

the coilovers will effect the handling yes, but it will make the handling better rather than worse. i can now take corners much faster than i could with the original suspension on.

just to throw a spanner in the works for you..... ifyour looking for a drop of x amount , say 40 mm. then getting a good set of shocks and springs will be another good option. tjhe ride would be less crashy, but you would lose the option of being able to chose your own ride height.

I'm quite happy with my Cupra suspension. I'll admit it's not very low, but ride is very good and body roll is pretty minimal.

was it a straight swap for the cupra suspension or was some modification or other parts needed.

Ive got a cupra on standard suspension, but thinking of the H&R cup kit, which is fitted to the Cupra R's, also its 20mm lower than my standard Cupra suspension. Just a thought
