Yes mate they're crap especially when cold and take a while to work properly

Don't mean to flame, but...isn't this a given when you buy red stuff?
They're meant for track use.

EBCs are kak anyway but green would probably have been more appropriate. Yellows maybe.

I don't understand the logic behind getting big grooved discs, RBF600 fluid and racing-grade pads and then driving around as you would daily...with the occasional "spirited" drive. Not saying the above is the case for you, just a general observation over the past 2 years or so.

Am I missing a trick?

I have had them before and they were quite good but my mate uses PAGID blue RS4-2 and they are awesome from cold and even better when up to temp but they cost £180 for the fronts

I had 2500's, Grooved discs, racing fluid and 2 piece discs from Bill at Badger 5.
I took the car on the track a few times and I found it difficult to keep them up to temprature there were only two corners where I needed to brake.

With that said 2500's even on standard discs never had a strong bite from cold (It wasn't bad but wasn't good)

Redstuff equivalent is DS3000's and I cant imagine using those for daily use. Must be a nightmare.

On the pads your looking at however, I've had friends say they preferred the 2500's and moved to those instead, but as far as figures go I'm not sure.
