tcs and abs light on help please!

I parked my car up last night and was all okay. started it up this morning and the tcs and abs light stayed on so i turned engine off and tried agen and it stayed off. drove down road and it came back on any1 help me or no of any commen faults? Cheers

Sounds like an ABS wheel sensor.

Maybe cleaning them up will solve it as they get lots of little metal filings stuck to them, (well mine do)

other than that you will need to replace the non working one.

This happened to me whilst driving and i hadnt even touched the brakes.

I reset mine an is hadnt come back on, so as first post bits of rubbish could be interfering with the reading from an abs sensor, try cleaning all four then a reset

Okay thanks. I have read that it could be the maf sensor but dont understand what thats got to do with tcs or abs bit comfused on that one lol

Its worth checking the wiring to the abs sensors as incorrect fitting can cause the wheel to rub through the wires

TCS light normally comes on with maf fault but i havent seen it trigger abs lights before

ABS and TCS lights definately trigger with an abs fault, vagcom will give you the answer

this happened to me, make sure they wires aint rubbed and split

Abs sensor put on vag and will tell u wat wheel it is too tps sell these for bout £35

Check the fuses mate as mine was doing this and it turned out to be a 5 amp fuse under the dash. But I'm sure I was getting limp mode as well
