i bought mine in grimsby had to bring it back to edinburgh and took it easy, but after a few weeks i decided modern motors should be able to take it so i have been a bit more "on it" since and no probs. most people seem to liberal to with their driving too.

should tell you in the hand book to 'Run the Car-in' for the first 600 miles or so. In other words be a little gentle with brakes, throttle and gearbox for now and then you can gently apply a little more force on all of the above. As its a tdi you should be ok anyway with the power delivery, so you wont need to drive it around in granny-mode ;)

its been discussed before, have a search in the TDI section for running in, and also look at the link in the TDI FAQ whcih is pinned to the top of the TDI Section for our thoughts on running in TDIs.

ps... dont granny it, get out there and give it some stick once the oil is up to temp.
