Thanks for the great appraisal Mike...

Really like the idea of a meet at ours one weekend - we'll lay on the food and drink - and the way the weathers going, ice cream:D

We can demo the new 'Powervalve' system at the same time

Cheers

Is that similar to the Varex system? (Used is Australia)

No the powervalve is completely boost controlled - the more you demand the power the more you get. Low down torque is therefore not compromised, with the sound change mirroring the power increase, all taking place dynamically in one movement.
Here's a link to the overview...

Next big mod (besides the top mounts) is one Im really excited about!

After a group buy went ahead last year for the golf boys on mk5golfgti.co.uk I was feeling pretty jealous as I used to have one on my Focus and then a Fiesta courtesy car and loved it. Thats right, heated windscreen :) I think heated front screen and xenons are the two best things you can spec a car from factory with (Shame VAG dont seem to do them yet?)

I have mailed Rick at ricky evans motorsport (also of heatedscreens.co.uk) and had a great reply.

I know quite a few users migrated over to Mk5Golf so Im going to clear it with Steve and start a thread to see if there are four other people interested. 14 weeks turnaround suits me perfectly as when I return from working over sees in roughly that time it will be autimn / winter perfect time to make the most of it! :)

Very interested on this Mike, just a little concerned in how this would be fitted? If its not too difficult then I'd defo be one of the 5 needed for a GB!:D

Yeh I'm in the same boat mate, the donkey that owned it last scraped f*** out of it and has always annoyed me, right in my line of sight! Do you reckon if you have windscreen cover and a crack were to "appear" they would allow you to use one of these? Or does it not work like that?
