Will fill it out a bit and ask for it to be moved and added to that list of build threads...

I havent got round to the Diff yet. That, carbon bonnet and Revo are the 3 main 'big' mods left..

:)

Hate to to inform you of this Mike but there was an amnestiy at Awsome gti where they would fit Revo to APR cars for (are you sitting down) FREE!

It did end a while ago though but worth a punt to see what they say considering you were in Germany serving on duty ;)

There perhaps was a time when Awesome would have sorted you out there but these days i here not alot of good from them. You can always try Revo they might offer some discount.

Edit i think it was earlier in the year around feb/march but it could have easily been last year

Did you need to fit another belt with the a/c pump off? Would be interesting to see this go with the APR core, no a/c core, no a/c pump, stripped and with REVO. Should become the fastest LC out there on a K04 turbo.

What under chassis mods you doing?

How much you wanting for ur miltek yours is the twin pipe though I think am i right.
Really enjoyed reading this Thread Mike.
Cant wait till im back from Afghanistan only 2 months to push then I will start my project.
Wish I started earlyer but always busy with pre-tour training.
All the best.

Interesting read on mk5golf there. In short though, have these aero mods made any difference to mpg, vmax, noise, stability etc?

How much difference are we talking about. Have to be honest and say I am a little dubious about the fact that there could be heat retention with the engine tray modification or even a fire risk.

Can you post details of the kit you have bought added and any photos fitted? Would be a good place for others on here to start. Less drag should equal more speed as well as less drag and more mpg :)

Engine undertray

1K0 825 237 P Noise Insulation £28.84
1K0 825 951 Hex headed bolt (Combi) 89p (need 3 to screw extended bit of tray to subframe)

Rear covers from A3 or TT
1K0 511 539 E Stone chip Guard £5.37
1K0 511 540 C Stone Chip Guard £6.75
8E0 825 267 a spreader rivet £0.12 (need 4 so x4)

Extra / bigger triangular 'lumps'

1K0 825 001 B x1 £5 off the top of my head
1K0 825 002 B x1 £5
N 909 591 01 fixing kit x4 £pence
N 103 546 02 fixing kit x10 £pence

This is how far Ive got with the mods. They are the simplest to fit. The rear stone gaurd / rear arm ones may require removing a plastic handbrake cable holder which can be awkward to reove the old spreader pin.
