Finally got her remapped was looking for ages who to go with and finally picked ptorque due to good reviews.

I did have my car remapped with a bluefin but ran into problems between 4k to 6k rpm in 4th to 6th gear it felt overly surgy (I know that's not a real word) lots of torque and wheel spin lower down in revs and gear but higher up it kept dropping boost so that was returned.

Worried that there was something wrong with the car got it checked by midland vw who said its running good no problems and knowing will knows his stuff went to him told him what happened last time and he took his time explaining everything to me. Top bloke very busy.

Got there at 9 am today and it was finished by 10:45 am by that time another guy in a st rolled up.

Will did not tell me the figures straight away he told me take it for a drive first, so I pulled out did not notice anything at first rolling at 5 mph, I rolled out onto the road and took a flying start all within speed limits lol, 1k rpm to 2.5-3k is smooth not overly torqued up but controlled little wheelspin then you feel the increased power 2.5k plus tires fighting for grip slight pull left and right as the tires search for traction this feels good but yet very very smooth compared to bluefin, u still feel the torque increase but it's very refined, you hit 5k rpm where the standard map runs out of puff, ptorque keeps going just as hard, before you know it your hitting 7k rpm you feel no loss of power higher up no tail off. 10 mins later got back to ptorque and had a look at the graphs I was surprised my car is supposed to be the 185bhp tfsi but produces 198 stock After the remap its was 250bhp torque was 207 to 264 ib.

It was a good experience and no problems it would always be nicer to have loads more torque but this is def the safer option kinder to the clutch and drive train but still goes like a rocket.

p torque figures always seem to be way over inflated. they are 182 standard

There are a few people who would disagree with the figure of 182 that might have been book figure some say the back box was restricted I have the btcc back box without restriction. Went 1 to 1 with a couple of fr tfsi they never pulled away and never did I each to there own I suppose.

Thank you for your opinion :D

Figures are just numbers as long as it feels better than the bluefin and your happy who cares if its a million bhp on one set of rollers and 10bhp on the other.

That is the only difference between the sport and fr which would make it more likely as I think they weigh in at 197. I had a sport and was a beaSt at stage 1.
