Cheers, mate! I'm going to hang around this forum though. Probably the friendliest and best car forum I've ever been on! Despite the niggles with the FR, it never let me down and I am still fond of it. However in the end the interior panel rattles, minor electrical glitches and indifferent dealer/SEAT warranty responses (had to fix the electrical problems myself after getting nowhere with dealer or Seat) just put me off the brand..... I reckon if the dealer had been on my side (rather than giving the impression that they couldn't be bothered) I would have got on better with warranty, but it's their loss! lol

A good dealer is worth their weight in gold and I still struggle to understand the attitude of some of the Seat dealers, don't they realise the value of return custom!

Only impressions I have so far is from the two test drives I've had in a Procee'd.... Basically it's incredibly well screwed together and the interior is in a different league compared to that of my FR - puts the Seat to shame to be honest.... Tons of gadgets as standard too! The diesel engine is smooth, flexible and nippy (but my FR would leave it for dead) and it handles stably and predictably. It will be a great motorway cruiser IMO..... On the twisty bits it isn't quite as good as the FR but still can be hustled along pretty quickly. The variable power steering is a bit of a gimmick though - there are 3 modes light/normal/sport - however normal is best - Sport just adds too much weight to the steering without adding any feel and light just feels weird and would probably be of any use to grannies or folk that do a lot of city driving!

My car should arrive later next week. I'll keep you posted!

I have the same colour of your seat and i am thinking of painting my rims matte black and painting my breaks yellow what do u thinks guys of this match?

I'm not into black rims at all, gun metal possibly but not black. As for the brake calipers, I'm thinking blue. I might try a photoshop to see how it would look.
But at the end of the day, it's your car and if matte black rims and yellow calipers are what you want, DO IT!

I've had the FR for about six weeks now and done 800 miles, still very happy with it. I filled the car with petrol tonight and as I had set the trip meter last time I filled up, I thought I would check the economy.

The fuel computer said for the last tank of fuel I have achieved 47 mpg. I had done 385 miles and got 38.5 liters into the tank, I work that out to be 45.5 mpg.

What can I say, the car has only 800 miles on the clock and does mainly journeys of about five miles or less and is returning over 45 mpg...........WOW

And as a bonus, the fuel computer looks to be pretty accurate..........

I've done 1800 miles in mine now and the fuel economy is pretty good. Averaging 43MPG but this is largely driving around Bristol. When I go home to Devon where you basically get straight onto an A/B road without too much stop/start the MPG swiftly goes up closer to 50 and take it easy on a flat section of motorway (65-70MPH) and I've had 56MPG out of it. Obviously a Diesel should return better figures but I'm not convinced they would be sufficiently higher to counteract the higher initial cost and fuel prices. Glad you are happy too Biker.
