Hey guys I'm thinking of buying a 2.0 TFSi FR and was looking at this one for sale on autotrader

It's from carz n carz bradford £6,990 and its a 2007 07 in grey DSG with 69,000 miles ( sorry I can't link to it I'm new)

Is there anything odd about the advert ? Xenons and heated seats seem pretty rare spec so I wanted to make sure the advert hadn't got anything wrong in terms of spec.

It doesn't have Bluetooth but I was thinking I could get a Denison gateway or similar that would add this and iPod interface ?

Also any tips on things to look for if I go look at it ?

That's the one. Thanks for posting the link.

I didn't think it had xenons as they look like normal headlights.

It also says MP3 as well

Can the factory HU play mp3 CD s ?

They seem to of over specked that car, the only options I can see is the heated seats, 18" alloys, and the DSG box. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it has the auto lights and wipers either.

No landline number in the ad? The photos have been taken in an empty car park, its also got mis-matched rear tyres. This is obviously a one man band flogging cars. It will be a strickly sold as seen jobby.

My thoughts exactly, forgot to write about the public car park photos haha!

I've just traded a '57 plate FR DSG and this one looks a pretty well spec'd car for the money. Dealer we traded with now wants £8k for ours with less spec but only 31k miles.
It says the car has a FSH but expensive things to check are replacement cambelt (60k) and DSG oil change (40k).

Looking at the photos it does have headlamp washers so they will be xenons, which with heated seats normally means it has the 'winter pack' option which I think included the xenons but not sure what else.

It has the large red MFD which also means bluetooth, confirmed in the dealers description as it also states voice control, which is part of the bluetooth comms system.

The dealer says it has auto-lights/wipers/dimming mirror which was the 'convenience pack'. Its hard to tell if it has these from the photos but the rain sensor is normally top right as you face the car. Worth having imo if only for the auto dimming mirror (with also has smart red down-lighting onto the gear lever).

Personally I prefer the look of the 18's over the stock 17's and although it's a firmer ride you get used to it, well I did.

If the car's geniune then that's a cracking spec for the price, and a nice colour. Good luck with your search mate.

Hmm..after what the others have mentioned as good a deal as it seems maybe he's the sort of trader you want to be careful with...

Thanks for the great info.

The lack of any premises or landline number is concerning. The spec is very good, so i'm tempted to buy it, and just write off getting any kind of support from him, and get the car inspected by the AA.

No worries mate, Its a lot of money to be spending so glad to give any help.

Might be worth doing your own HPI check as well as an inspection. Also ask if the seller can give you details of who's serviced the car and maybe even the previous owners details so you can check its history.

If he's not forth-coming then he might have something to hide..

BRADFORD

Dont do it. & dont waste a journey. It's where the worst cars come from in my experience of viewing & buying cars. Wait your time and im sure one will pop up which you wont have doubts upon. i do apologize if anyone has purchased a good car from there lol.
