Thinking of selling up

As the title suggests, I'm thinking of selling my cupra as it just never gets used, I haven't actually driven my car since march as I live less than 2 miles from work and work with my partner so we just use her car and now the car has run out of mot and tax and needs some little jobs doing before its mot good, i.e boot gaiter, break pads and a tyre which I intend to sort out and mot it and replace and put back on the jack covers. But I'm thinking mot and sell it on for someone else to enjoy. This leads me onto a very important question. What is my car worth? 2002 52 reg cupra 180, lowered. 18" alloys, induction kit, few stickers but other than that stock. Car has f/s/h 135k 4 previous owners, very clean and well looked after other than a scrap on the rear n/s corner of bumper, not gone very deep, no smoke or mechanical issues and will have a full 12 months ticket

Really loads of threads? Cos I put a how much is my car worth in search and it came up with nothing lol

From researching eBay and autotrader a facelift cupra seems to range from a dirt cheap £1000 to an outrageous cupra r price of £3500-4000 so I was thinking a pretty good conditioned slightly modded fresh mot'd facelift would be worth around £2300???? Or do people think that's a bit rich?

I know it's a typical question to ask what it's worth and to most it's a case of what a buyer will pay is what it's worth, but ideally I'd like go advertise it in the category of in the right price range for condition.

I'll give you a grand for a quick sale.

I'm not after a quick sale so a grand, erm na I'll pass lol

It's on stock struts I believe with lowering spring, is have to look to see what they was

At £1800 I might as well keep it for a while, I'd rather keep it then let it go that cheap but thanks for the input guys :) like I say the prices vary so much it's nice to know what people who know these cars fetch

Prices are very low these days, especially as you're talking about a 10-11 year old car. Getting to the point of being worth more as parts than as a complete car. There's a facelift cupra on autotrader for £1350 with 28k less miles and electric leather seats.......

Mods add not a lot to the value of the car unfortunately, if its springs on stock (original) struts then it's fair to say they'll be a bit worn by now!

If, like you say, it only needs a couple of small jobs, get them done and enjoy the car ;)

Mine is an 03 with 65k and I would be delighted if I got £2k for it. 135k is a lot of miles which will put people off. Mods don't add value unless selling to an enthusiast that knows what they are worth, if anything they detract due to the "thrashed" image.

£1500, unfortunately our cars just aren't worth much now!

Now I'd be quite happy with £2k for it, I personally think its worth that as ok it's high mileage but its basically got every service stamp and both times cam belt was done along with lots of other bills and original stuff. I'd much rather have high mileage with intensive service as appose to a low mileage one with little to no history as I know these engines are strong and drive as good with 200k as a 50k engine.

People want the TDI's, they go for alot more than the petrol's, coulda bought a petrol for about 1k less than my TDI, but you cant beat 50-60mpg on the work commute.
