Hi guys. First post on here. Been a lurker for a long time as I have a Mark I TDI at the moment.

Anyway....I'm about to place an order on a TDI FR and had a read round here to see what sort of prices people were getting. The deal negotiator seemed good so I tried them and got this back...

>>Please find our quotation below:

>>1. SEAT Leon FR 2.0 TDI (170) with iPod connection, Bluetooth and finished in Black Magic (metallic paint) £18,447

>>The above price is on the road (OTR) including 12 months road tax.

Thats got to be wrong hasn't it? I thought it would be low £16's. Even my dealer has come in cheaper and I haven't even started to push him.

Yeah that's way expensive for what you'd expect from TDN. I've seen an FR with pretty much all the options (inc xenons) for £16k ish. I think.

They've got a couple of Leons parked around their dealership plastered with stickers quoting (I think) £2K off of a 200bhp model (priced at £14,995, if I remember correctly).

Got my attention, but I couldn't stop to see what the variant or engine type was as the road is a little narrow to stop just there.

Was going past on my way back from Heathrow to Gatwick this morning.
