One of my timing chain cover bolts has snapped in half, so I need to replace it. They are available without the timing chain cover, but with the covers, the bolts seem attached. If I buy a bolt, can I insert it into the cover as it sits on my car, or do I need to buy a whole new cover with bolts and gasket and have that fitted?

I don't know! but I would think the fact the bolts are available separately that they must be replaceable.

Spoke to Seat who said bolt can be replaced without removing the chain cover. I’ve ordered a new cover with bolts, gasket and cam magnet gaskets, 2 cam magnets and new oil cap. Let’s see..🤞🏼
