Just been quoted £800 by a main dealer to replace the chain on my 2011 1.2 TSI. Ibiza.
Anyone had one done recently as this seems very high.
From other info I've read I thought around £400.
Car has done 40,000 miles but has got a very rattley chain.
Maybe have a read of the other timing chain thread, as it looks like your car has an old style chain and that dealer is probably bringing it right up to date with the latest chain and chain wheels etc.
Maybe track down your local VAG indie and see what they ask for sorting that out to the latest version of bits.
