Has anyone heard of or experienced any problems with remap on their Fr Leon 2.0 tfsi, with the TIP collapsing.

Problem on the car is >4krpm, under boost and the DV will randomly open and dump boost erratically.. only happens when its over 4-4.5krpm on full throttle positions where its shifting more air..

Car has forge atmos spacer, and later std dv on it

weird fault..
Car runs CC2 PSS software, ran fine before this software was loaded.. and reportedly has run fine on previous revo and apr trials.

DV I know are high on list of things to let go.. but not heard of TIPs being a problem..

What have you guys experienced so far?

thanks

Hi sorry I'm not quite clued up on what TIP's are? but in regards to my Revo map I've not had any issues like randomly opening and dumping boost erratically.

The DV is high on the list of things to let go maily on the FR TFSI due to the diaphragm not being able to handle the heat and boost of a performance remap. The issue was rectified with the piston type DV replacing the diaphragm.
when my diaphragm went it just felt like I had lost 200bhp.

I take it you have the Dv without the rubber diaphram. What do you mean the TIP is 'collapsing' and how can you tell?

We're a revo dealer and have only experienced problems with coil packs and dump valves, never any turbo or intake pipe issues.

The Turbo Intake Pipe is solid on the TFSI Bill, even with the stock engine cover.

Aye.. TIP is whats been suggested to me.. and did not seem correct, hence asking the open question.

DV, maybe, except its got the later type stock DV on it.

Code is my thought, but they dont agree... typically
Flashing it back to stock and going alternate make of code will confirm.

REVo stage 1's have pulled harder than the code on it currently.. and I at least have adjustment of settings myself to dial it in.

Hi everyone the problem is happening to my TFSI sport :( I have no idea whats going on with it...It ran sweet as nut when it was on stock ecu but since I started going stage 2 remaps not had any good luck.

Now running revo stage 2+ remap on the car as requested by myself how the problem is still the same but it happens later on with the revs so it starts earliest @5.5k rev but defin at 6k...the car is drivable but the problem is still there. The settings are still low on the car and not been adjusted fully yet because of the problems im having.

I have done whats been suggested to me which is:-
removing the forge spacer (just incase it caused any issues) no changes still the same
removed the rev D divertor valve for the older rev C valve still the same

no warning lights on the dash and no faults logged on the vag com. Bill has the logs and they'r quite were the car will boost but drops boost for a split second and back up again but this can be constant so yea not sure whats going on - I don't think its the turbo not going to be the exhaust...was thinking spark plugs or coil but thats misfire right? but yea i have emailed few people and also pm's so just waiting for some response any support comments are welcome.

thanks!

dan all depends what you mean logging a missfire?
do you mean missfire recognition? if so i logged 50 in a 2 min period and seat say its normal !
or are you thinking more missfire fault codes?

not sure whats the best way to explain...this happens normally at mid-high range revs lets say it starts at 5k (remapped stage2+) my foot is on the gas petal (5th gear) reving..3..4..5.wush.5.5k.wush..6...wush.6.5..wush..keeps reving (foot is still down) 7 (finally) wush (stays around 7 and repeats the wush too around second intervals) im not hearing anything from the exhaust or at the back of the car. Most is from the front (boost?) I have the removed the spacer for the time being and reverted back to the old dv..will change it back to the piston dv tomorrow when i get the time & effort i not had the chance to log it.

something worth mentioning when I was under the car I noticed alot of oil on the on the spacer/divertor valve even > i was thinking it could be the rear pcv...(i don't have a catch-can just yet to fix the pcv issue)

ps tested on empty road private ...early hours of the morning

This sounds similiar but alot worse to problems others have been having. Basically WOT from say 2nd gear up to 6th, and then once in 4th, you depress clutch, change to 5th, raise clutch, depress throttle, and nothing happense, like the car stops picking up speed, until you then release the throttle, wait a second or two and then depress it again and it goes fine! I take it your issue isnt intermittent?
