Hi
I think this may cause me some problems in the future when brake disc will be more worn off.
After purchasing the car, previous owner said that he got these brembo discs and pads installed, it looked good.
Some time after though I've noticed that front(rear is all good) disc is not used on whole surface.
Do any of you by any chances know what is the default brake disc size for 1.8t auq 2003? Are those calipers only for like 280mm disc?
These discs mounted atm are 288mm(09.7010.2X) and pads code is P 85 045 103.

Yeah they are same caliper just different carriers
So based from the photo - I need to get bigger calipers and carriers for those calipers(coz most likely mine are top small?) + change the brake pads for bigger one as well?
Im still getting confused with english names for car parts :C

No the calipers are fine

The 288 and 312 calipers are the same. All that differs is the carriers and discs

I don't know why your discs look like that. Is it the same on both sides at the front

Yep, only on front both right and left. Rear looks as it should

Can't help thinking, based on the pictures and what you've said, that it's got the 312mm caliper carriers but fitted with 288 discs for some reason. How much gap is there between the inside of the caliper and the outer edge of the disc?

Yeah take a face on shot so can see if there is enough room for 312 mm discs

Stock 1.8t AUQ vRS is 312mm so seems odd it has 288mm discs
