Hi guys - just wondering if anyone had this problem before - could worn top mounts cause this under heavy(ish) braking? (judder/pulsing felt through steering wheel, not pedal) Might also partly explain the knocks i feel through the steering wheel over some bumps if they do need doing (already replaced arb bushes, drop links and wishbone bushes). Discs and pads look to have plenty of life left.

Its possible, especially when you can't feel it on the pedal. I'm guessing the bottom ball joints are ok?

Still a chance the discs are at fault though

Oh yeh, had them done too! :D

I have noticed that some positions of the adjustable steering column make it worse - particularly the knocks over bumps/gravelly car parks. Personally i think its likely the steering column internal bushes or similar, but I dont know if these are replaceable.

Anyone know how much a steering column would set me back? (lots im guessing)
