Hi Guys,

I've come out this morning to a low coolant alarm.

Around here, we only have a VW dealer, and he says he has G13 coolant in stock. I currently have a pink coloured coolant in mine, which according to google is either G12, G12+ or G12++. My car is a 2010 Leon Ecomotive if that helps identify the coolant.

Does anyone know if G13 can be mixed with all of the above coolants?

Check your radiator. Mine started to leak at the crimp between the metal core and plastic ends. Would end up going from max on the tank to having the light on within 100 miles.

Indeed. I've just had to replace a radiator. Right pain in the hoop bleeding the system.

Right pain indeed when you are doing for the first time with a mate who is a mechanic. 3 hours later car was all good. How much did your radiator cost? I got my locally for £70 which i thought was a great price

39 quid off eBay and a box of O-rings from Halfords. And 10l of coolant. That was in my MR2 though.

70 quid is a great deal all-in

It came with 2 o-rings as well. Both ECP and GSF wanted atleast £100 and a decent journey to get it.

xreyuk, if you could find a local parts store that are owned or supplied by Group Auto Union you might be able to get it around the same price.

Cheers guys, I've driven about 50 miles since it happened, and nothing yet.

I'll keep an eye on it and re-post on this thread if I come across it again.

Thanks guys.

Me and a mechanic at work changed my cambelt other month and had to bleed all of the coolant and it's easy and if you the airlines linked. Get it all out and suck it back through.
