Most powerful FWD cars have it, as well as some older RWD I've driven, just need to ease the power on. Its much better in the Cupra than in Focus STs and the Mazda 3 MPS in my experience.

You don't need power to experience wheel hop in FWD, as I experienced sat next to my wife today in her 85 bhp, TBH I didn't know she did that.
I've never experienced wheel hop in any of my RWD cars, ranging from 100 - 400 bhp, there again Im not one to rip off from the lights, I prefer the twisty bit's..

It won't happen on rwd cars, as the weight of the car is over the rear wheels under acceleration, pressing them to the floor. The same weight shift unloads the front wheels , causing wheel hop on a Fwd
watch the car chase clip in Bullitt. McQueens Mustang in particular. You can get wheel hop on a rwd car, particularly one with a badly located ( I.e leaf sprung) axle.
I have wheelhop on my fr150 running the bridgestones. Also experienced on my Boxster running Porsche rated bridgestones, and it was RWD...Never seen it mate and probably never will, as I've got no interest in anyting fictional. But yeah, maybe i should have said you're unlikely to get wheel hop on a rwd, rather than you won'tBut to be fair that's a 1970's piece of american crap, with 1870's suspension......
I was talking about real cars like M3's and Merc's etc etc. Mustangs are just a big engine attached to some scaffold tubes by a bunch of muppets, as is the case with 99% of all old american motors imo.
