What part-ex for your Cupra?

Hi folks

I am curious as to what kind of cars people are trading in/selling to get the new Cupra.

I currently drive a manual 2010 VW Scirocco 2.0 Tsi which is my pride and joy. Great car and superb handling, but when I test drove the Cupra 280 I was completely blown away!

I have heard a few other people going from the Scirocco to Cupra and thought it would be interesting to see what cars other people are changing from. Pictures of old and new would be pretty cool too. Put some Pics of my 'Roc' on and will upload some of the Cupra when it finally arrives!

Looks nice that why you selling, I did consider one until I heard the stories about the stone chipping on the sides.

It is a good looking car. I've already had the sides resprayed under warranty due to the excessive chipping. I just don't get on with it. I was too impatient and couldn't wait another year for the Cupra to come out, so bought the vxr.

Exact same thing happened me with them. I need a diesel and couldn't wait for the new Leon and got a GTC SRi
2.0 CDTI...lasted 9 months before it got chopped in for an FR184...and don't even mention stone chips - the state of the side of mine after 30k was shocking.

I think its something to do with the 19" alloys sticking out.

Paint was very soft and the wide arches don't help either. Got worse when I switched from 19s to 20s. All OEM wheels and tyres but I was told it was just wear and tear. Mudflaps didn't help wither.

Seems like a varied selection so far. Will be interesting to see what we all think of the new Cupra compared to our current cars when we finally get them.
