Tree sap

Just wondering what is best for removing tree sap off windows and paintwork.

I sometimes have to park under a tree and have issues with sap.
I spray a bit of tar/glue removed on a microfibre and let it sit on the paint for a few minutes with a magnet to hold it in place.
For glass I spray a bit on it and use a plastic razor
