Trunk pistons, half opening

Hello everyone,
has anyone ever had the trunk of the Leon that does not open properly?

In my case, once opened by hand, I have to pull it up more than half to make it open by itself.

It's as if the pistons do not have the strength to open it. I'll load a video asap.
And I also tried to change them with an OEM pair.

Any ideas?

likely if its colder than usual, mine has the same issue here when its colder in the mornings

Well, my wife's car is out every night, and her trunk has not this problem, regardless of the size of the tailgate.
Mine is in the box every night, instead

Another thing to say: my car is a 2021, my wife's is a 2023 (Opel Corsa), I can imagine the age of the car also affects.

So I don't think the cold is the problem: anyway, I've ordered the originals, I'll update as soon as I receive them.
Hope the replacement could resolve the issue.

I think they're just rubbish, mine does the same it'll lift so far then you have to push it. I think the boot is quite heavy

Fyi, replacing the pistons with an original & new couple, the problem has been solved!
