Trunk stuck and not opening anymore

Hello, I have an issue with the trunk of my Leon 2016, a cloth bag got stuck in the mechanism and it seems like it jammed something in there.

I tried to get it out but I think a bit its still stuck and the trunk is not opening anymore. I can hear the motor trying to engage the release mechanism when pressing the lever from the outside but nothing.

Also tried the manual release from the inside but it simply does nothing.

I also tried removing the plastics trim from the inside to get acces to the mechanism and get rid of what is jamming it, but I don't think I can get any further.

Any clues on how I could open the trunk in this situation?
