Cheers Robbie, I've got a new one to put on. Should maybe have done a boost test first but figured my symptoms sounded identical to yours so just ordered the pump, wasn't expensive anyway.
Well changing the suction jet pump hasn't eliminated the noises but it's a little less noticeable now and the car feels a bit smoother and I'd swear the brakes feel a touch more positive...? Looks like I'll have to get the car pressure and/or smoke tested.
