Turbo Choices - What you think?

I'm lookin for anything of 320 upwards really matt, so it opens up a lot of options really. There is a place local-ish to me who reckons they can fab anything i want in 3" so i could get them to do the downpipe, but the manifold is the difficult part as you found out.

I might have found a log mani that will work with a T25 flanged turbo so that might be an option.

Am stuck with where to go next aswell, am thinking about going for gt2871r eliminator and equal length mani, but i dont know if that will be quick enough for me. and if it wasnt i couldnt upgrade easy.

What you think the lag will be like on a 2871 with a k0x flange? DPJ gets full boost by about 4k, so that must be slightly more?

On gt2x, am full boost at 3.5k. im going for 1.9 bore,agu head, high flow inlet, so hopefully gt2871r will be about the same

without going bigger bore is there anything else you can do to reduce lag?

Can you buy the mani and downpipe for an IHI seperately from Jabba or JBS?

You can buy the dp from jabba seperately. Dont know about jbs but I would assume so as they do the IHI kit for DIY fitment.

Could be an option and source the tubro elsewhere like from the US.

is'nt that a very general statement there phil!
gains far outway spool losses, which are more turbo spec than manifold runners.

Mine spools up faster with the same turbo with a equal length manifold so thats not the case.

Now that is cheap! Comes with intake, all oil and water lines and a turbotchnics mani I think as thats whats in the store. Just need injectors, fuel pump, 3" MAF, bigger filter and mapping.

Edit- Just realised it does not mention anything about the shifter cable bracket?!

If that does come with a manifold it will be the ATP ko3 type mani, seriously cheap if thats right.

Think it is. The mani is in their shop. Have a look. Price seems good. Only thing is need internals and dont know how laggy it would be.

If you look at the feedback it looks like minimivic got his turbo from them.

I know! Would go for it myself if it didnt involve the added cost of internals. Does not say whether its k04 or k03 downpipe either but not sure if that matters.

Its the k03 version as you can tellby the exhaust housing. I've sent them a message to confirm the manifold.

Cool. How much should I budget for internals if I was to get this kit. Rods and valves as pistons should be ok yes?

Kit does not mention the shifter bracket either.

The picutre seems to show a K03 Eliminator...
