i want to learn more details about turbos

how do i tell if another gt28rs will perform better than my current one?

what does 'A/R' mean? i have A/R .80 on my turbo

what other details determen specs of a turbo?

The housings fitted around the compressor impeller and turbine collect and direct the gas flow through the wheels as they spin. The size and shape can dictate some performance characteristics of the overall turbocharger. The area of the cone to radius from center hub is expressed as a ratio (AR, A/R, or A:R). Often the same basic turbocharger assembly will be available from the manufacturer with multiple AR choices for the turbine housing and sometimes the compressor cover as well. This allows the designer of the engine system to tailor the compromises between performance, response, and efficiency to application or preference. Both housings resemble snail shells, and thus turbochargers are sometimes referred to in slang as angry snails.

not sure about them sayin "let the engine cool down for 10 seconds" tho!
says that under turbo timer section

do you know what the A/R .80 is exactly then? is that a laggy, high boost set up?

how will i tell if another turbo is better? eg is A/R .90 better or worse than A/R .80?

I guess the lower the A/R the better the spool up, but it is more likely to run out of puff top end...

it'll be that or the total opposite

would you know the A/R of a k04 or k03?

so the lower the AR (air ratio) the quicker spool up would be for example, but perhaps less power top end?

the higher the AR, the laggier the turbo but better more power top end?
