I'm not changing the rotating parts so i wouldn't have thought the balancing would have been an issue. Have you tried it PJ??

In my old work i used to regularly strip down, refurbish and rebuild turbine meters that where used for fiscal measurement and they didn't need balancing afterwards. Not quite the same but very similar.

And the effect of the unbalanced force on the bearings wouldnt be nice either. Asking for trouble imo. No way to do it properly without having to get it rebalanced. If you could strip it maybe you could get it balanced and reassembled by an appropriate company to save some £s.

Not sure Bill i haven't ripped it apart yet. Trial and error, steap learning curve!:whistle:
