I doubt it, the blokes only been flogging these on fleabay for less than a month. He looks like he's selling them for every manufacturer under the sun and to date he has 15 positive feedbacks.

Buy one and try it out if you don't want to go down the proper remap route. Its only £100.

The vast majority on here would say save your pennies and remap the car properly. It should be more economical as well as more powerful too.

i understand that a remap is better but as the car is only 1year old and will be going to seat for servicing i dont want to go down that route. i understand that they should not be looking for the remap during a service but would rather fit the box and remove it once every year for the service.

there must be someone out there that has a good thing to say about tuning boxes and where to get them from ?

Hi, Have been using a "Tuning Box" from TDI tuning for the past nine months on my Tolly Tdi 110 ASV engined "beast". Makes it a lot more tractable, more grunt lower down the rev range and to boot circa 5 MPG more. On motorway trips also runs a lot smoother even on Tesco's finest. I do about 400 miles a week,80% motorway/dual carrigeway.Trip computer is showing 60.2MPg at the moment.I don't pussfoot around either, not much goes past me on the motorway. If its a kick in the pants difference your after then a re-map is probably the best way to go,but for the£71 I paid for it on e-bay it works for me?Does need some careful setting up though, took me about a month of tweaking to find the "sweet point".
