Help! The turbo on my mk1 110bhp Leon just disintegrated, so I need to remove and fit another, however I'm struggling to find any reference anywhere to a process to follow to remove and refit can anyone point me in the right direction. Also I was going to buy a reconditioned one off ebay once I have the correct numbers off the old one unless someone can tell me any different?
I really would appreciate any help possible. Thanks Andy

If its a diesel most work done from under car and Un bolt drive shaft makes life so easy I've done loads on pd and create removal and install can all be done in 2 hours worst bit can be oil feed pipe sometimes they try to undo bit out the turbo

Hi Gav thanks for the quick reply. Yes the car is a diesel, I'm not sure what you mean when you say "you have done loads on pd and create removal"?
So far I think the job is- jack car on to axle stands, remove drive shaft, release vacuum hose, undo oil return pipe to sump, remove the air intake hose of the turbo, then unbolt turbo and remove from engine block, have I missed anything? I'm assuming I can leave the manifold alone and just swap out the turbo unit. cheers Andy

Inlet manifold stays where it is etc turbo manifold is part of turbo. Egr pipe has to be removed and so on but all straight forward sorry mentioned pd and cr not create was my stupid phone spelling stuff for me ha
